Thrive

Where the businesswomen of tomorrow learn from the businesswomen of today.

Upcoming Dates

  • Monday 31st July 6-8pm

  • Monday 18th September 6-8pm

THRIVE is a mentorship programme for UC Women in Business students that aims to provide guidance and inspiration for students through a relationship with someone who has accomplished the goals they wish to achieve.

Why THRIVE?

We believe that women are powerful change makers. However, it is well known that women are underrepresented in corporate leadership positions. This programme aims to see participants THRIVE in three areas:

  • Connections

Growth is fostered within trusting relationships. The programme will facilitate meaningful relationships between mentors and their mentees, networking connections between mentors, and friendships between students.

  • Creativity

Sustainability is the way of the future. We want to empower our members to champion new innovations and feel supported in their entrepreneurial endeavours.

  • Confidence

Women continue to be a minority in leadership positions. This programme will equip mentees with confidence as they step into professional roles and skills to communicate effectively and build rapport.

About the programme

The programme consists of three face-to-face sessions at the University of Canterbury.

Mentoring evenings will be framed around a topic, feature a keynote speaker, mentoring breakout, and networking over nibbles.
